    PURPOSE OF THE DIGITAL CERTIFICATE

    The digital signature is required for:
    1. Filing tax returns with the Agencia Tributaria (Hacienda)
    2. Business registration and management (Autónomo or Sociedad Limitada)
    3. Applying for social security benefits, certificates, and allowances through Seguridad Social
    4. Signing contracts and legally binding documents online
    5. Obtaining extracts and certificates from government registries

  • HOW TO OBTAIN A CERTIFICADO DIGITAL IN SPAIN?

    There are three main ways to obtain an electronic signature:
    1. Through FNMT (Fábrica Nacional de Moneda y Timbre): Online application submission → identity verification at a government office (Agencia Tributaria, Seguridad Social, Ayuntamiento) → downloading the certificate to your computer
    2. Through the Cl@ve system: For those who already have access to this platform; the certificate can be activated remotely without visiting an office
    3. Through a Notary: Obtaining the certificate via notarized identity verification. This is a convenient, fast, and reliable option, especially for legal entities
