Tax rates for digital nomads

- over €600,000 of annual income - 47%.
* without a digital nomad visa, annual income in Spain of €60,000 is taxed at 45%.
Candidate criteria for obtaining a visa
- to be an employee or private (individual) entrepreneur
- to carry out their professional activities remotely
- the company for which the applicant works must be located outside of Spain
- the person must not be an EU citizen
- the person must have a relevant education or have worked in the industry for at least 3 yea
- the company for which the person works must have been in continuous operation for at least a year
- the company for which the person works must provide a letter of authorization to work in Spain
- the person must not have a criminal record
- to have an appropriate income

Applying for a visa
There are several ways to apply for a digital nomad visa:
- Apply for a visa from your home country. In this case, it is possible to obtain a visa for one year, which can be changed to a residence permit.
- Apply upon arrival in Spain, and this can be done in person or online. By applying for a digital nomad visa directly in Spain, the applicant can count on a three-year visa, which can be extended for another two years.
